Synopsis

Joe Effin used to be a hard-nosed, hard-fisted all-star in the National Hockey League.  Now he’s retired.  In Houston.  And he needs to get off the couch, stop picking fights with the yardman, neighborhood kids, and the effing XBOX controller and get on with the rest of his life.  Or so says his wife, Traci.  So along with his manager and best friend, Kevin, Joe hatches a plan: Effin Sports Camp.  For $5000 you too can have your kid learn absolutely nothing for the next two weeks.  It’s brilliant.  No one will show up, and Joe and Kevin will get back to the golf course.  One problem: kids do show up.  A lot of kids!  So Joe stews, and stuck with the kids and the camp, there’s only one thing to do... let the hazing begin!  But the fun doesn’t last long.  Joe is stuck between Traci and Kevin who each want his life to move in a different direction.  And just when he thinks he can’t take anymore, Joe realizes that the kids are not just there for his amusement.  They are people with conflicting demands on their lives very similar to his.  So he begins to bond with them, and, unbeknownst to Traci or any of the parents, mold them in his own fist-in-the-face image.  Now the biggest confrontation of Joe’s life looms, and the only thing that can save him is Effin Sports Camp.
